“That depends on you, kid. I know things moved really quick and you might not want to accept me as any type of father-figure in your life…although I already feel like one to Wanda and I’d like to be that for you as well.”

Clint, to Pietro. Not Alone

Ever since their parents were killed when the two of them were children, Wanda and Pietro have always been together. They went through experiments designed to bring out their latent mutant abilities together. They joined Ultron together. And they switched sides together, when they realised that Ultron planned to end the world and kill all of humanity. However, despite Wanda technically being the older of the twins, Pietro has always been very protective of her, knowing how others viewed her and her powers.

This protectiveness was what primarily led to Pietro risking his own life to save Clint’s. His sister hadn’t found anyone who accepted her, outside of Pietro, before Clint came along. And when Pietro put himself in danger to save the Avenger, it was also because, on some level, he felt the same draw to Clint that Wanda did. Even though he was reluctant to actually put words to it and hid behind sarcastic comments and barbs.

“Uh, where did my calm, responsible sister go?”

Pietro, to Wanda. A New Home: Deja Vu

Pietro could probably be considered the complete opposite of his calm, mellow sister, being impulsive and hotheaded. Actually, he’s not so much different to Clint when his father was first adopted by Coulson, which is likely one of the main reasons Clint can understand him so well.

Pietro is a bit more aloof than his sister, but there are times that he reaches out to his family. For instance, when Wanda’s power accidentally caused bad dreams for the family, he dreamed that Clint had died and immediately said he needed to see his Papa. He’s more likely to hug when he’s in emotional distress, but doesn’t tend to turn affection away when he’s not.
