Before Natasha joined the family and before she was adopted by Phil Coulson, she was causing all sorts of problems for SHIELD. Clint was sent to take her out. But instead of going through with it, he saw something in her similar to what his father had seen in him.

Natasha didn’t get to meet Coulson until after the mission she and Clint went on together, but it was that mission that became the foundation for her close relationship with her older brother. Since that day, the two of them are virtually unstoppable on missions together, despite not actually having any superpowers of their own.

Natasha was trained as a Widow in the Red Room. Because of this, she can no longer have children biologically. And she’s also had a past relationship with Bucky, although when his handlers began to believe the two were growing too close, their interactions were quickly halted.

Natasha meeting her son didn’t occur by conventional means. She had to knock him out, as he was under Lorelei’s influence to attack her. But after taking him back to the tower with her to get checked over, she was very quick to act on her feelings. After all, she had the best example in her father.

Meeting her daughter, Valkyrie, wasn’t quite the same. But the feelings of being drawn to her were as quick as those Natasha experienced with Lincoln. Even though she’s an Asgardian and will, more than likely, outlive her mother, Natasha would never regret adopting her too.

• Natasha is one of the few who was spanked first by a sibling, not her parent.

• She says, ‘Beep beep’ like the Road Runner whenever she overtakes another car. According to Clint.
